Water. It’s vital to our lives and essential every day. The 100 seniors who call Osgoode Care Centre home will be able to enjoy better tasting, healthier water when we upgrade the filtration system and improve the well pipes.
Following strict Ministry of Health and Ministry of the Environment guidelines, we will install a new drinking water system incorporating a combination of UV and liquid chlorine as the primary disinfection mechanism. The purpose of the carbon filtration is to remove organic matter ahead of the chlorination, to reduce the chlorine demand and consequently the production of chlorination byproduct. The end result will be healthier and better tasting water for our residents.
Project Cost: ~$50,000
Availability: Fall 2019. This is an essential service so we must secure funding by the end of August to be able to make the upgrades as soon as possible.
